Yes… there is a problem with EA’s origin server. There is no way to know when it will be back up…but if you are getting Error messages…or “you hav been logged out,” you are not alone. As in millions of players. So…chillax. Do something else and don’t panic. It is likely another DDOS attack…which seems to be part of the new “fun” hackers from Russia have these days. But, hey…just two more weeks and this madness will be over? Maybe…

So for Halloween we are hosting a D&D 5th edition game. 1st step is to create a theme. Halloween! Done! Nope, that’s not enough. A New Impossible Coin [Super Mario 64]

UncommentatedPannen shows that there's yet another impossible coin in the game, located in the huge version of Tiny-Huge Island. Specifically, there's a coin spawner there that's intended to spawn 5 coins in a horizontal line on the ground. However, this coin spawner's located under the ground, causing the most uphill coin to not load properly. In particular, this coin spawns about 49 units below the ground, triggering a failsafe that causes the coin to immediately unload. Currently, there's no known way to collect this coin.

Violence is a strategic act. What I mean by this is that a threat to employ physical aggression against someone else unless they do what you want is one that needs to be credible to be useful. If a 5-year-old child threatened to beat up her parents if they don't stop for ice cream, the parents understand that the child does not actually pose a real physical risk and, if push came to shove, the parents would win a physical contest; by contrast, if you happen to hanging out with a heavy-weight MMA fighter and he demands you pull over for ice cream...

Modern Warfare is still Call of Duty’s finest game

There have been mixed reactions to Infinity Ward’s announcement and trailer for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, if we were to judge by the downvotes on YouTube. Sales projections are still solid for the new title that is going to feature some futuristic space action as opposed to the traditional boots-on-the-ground combat, so it is not easy to tell what the player base’s opinion of Infinite Warfare really is at this point.

Samsung made YouTube remove video of GTA mod that turns Note 7 into a bomb

Samsung apparently doesn't see much humor in a Grand Theft Auto V mod that turns the recalled, hazardous Galaxy Note 7 into an in-game weapon. In fact, the company is trying to erase it from the internet completely. Samsung has issued a DMCA takedown targeting a YouTube video that showcased the mod, which gives the Note 7 explosive, grenade-like capabilities. It was a pretty great way of poking fun at Samsung's ongoing PR crisis — and now the company is responding in a terrible way: ridiculous overreach and misuse of the DMCA tool.

Steam will soon natively support PlayStation 4 controllers

While it's been possible to link a DualShock 4 to a PC to play Steam games, the functionality has been provided by third-party apps, not the companies themselves. Luckily, that will soon change, after Valve's Jeff Bellinghausen confirmed to Gamasutra that the game company is working to include native support for other gamepads, starting with the PlayStation 4 controller. "Believe it or not, when you use the PS4 Controller through the Steam API, it's exactly the same as a Steam Controller.
